Richard H Jacovitz is a marketing and business development consultant with special expertise guiding companies and entrepreneurs on the best ways to maximize marketing dollars, specifically, with copywriting and editing.  For the last fifteen years as a freelance marketing/business development specialist, Richard has provided cost effective high return marketing campaigns with particular emphasis on copywriting/editing, email/direct mail marketing, social media development, and sophisticated business intelligence research for small, mid-sized companies, and startups.

Mr. Jacovitz pays special attention to the importance of writing and editing for small businesses.  Content, marketing, and standard business writing all need to be concise, to the point, and effective.  Mr. Jacovitz will help to make sure contracting customers have simple, grammatically correct, and effective English for all their pertinent business related documents.  Brochures, marketing materials, proposals, and technical materials will be edited to the customers’ parameters and time constraints.

Prior to freelance consulting, Mr. Jacovitz worked for twenty years in large and medium sized corporate entities (banks, publishing, government, and software companies) handling marketing and research. He also created a successful small publishing/conference company that assisted companies in exporting and importing.

Mr. Jacovitz received his Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University School of International Affairs in 1975, and his B.A. in Political Science and Economics from George Washington University in 1973.  He has a post graduate degree in European Community Business Law and Economics from the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands in 1983, as well as a certificate in Internet Technologies from New York University School of Professional Studies 1998.  He was a Jumpstart Fellow at the SUNY Levin Institute in 2011.
